For over 10 years, Safe Solutions of New England has sold and installed removable pool fences made in by Life Saver Pool Fence. During that time, we’ve seen how the product has developed and how Life Saver has diligently worked at providing the safest pool fence in the industry. There are a number of characteristics that distinguish Life Saver pool fencing from its competition:

High Performance Solid Poles.

Various pool fence manufacturers offer different pole options, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and price. The most common materials used to make the poles are aluminum and fibre glass. The bottom of the poles slide into a polymer sleeve in the deck and are attached to the mesh by sandwiching it between a cove molding and the pole by a series of screws.

Pole design is critical for fence strength and Life Saver’s poles offer differences you can see! The High Performance Solid Pole is 3 times stronger than the industry standard x-pole design. The thick external wall of the pole is made using T-6 aluminum alloy, making it extremely rigid. The middle wall is made of schedule 80 P.V.C. and extends in the bottom 14 inches of the pole. It provides additional support and flexibility at the insertion point of the pole and above it by 10?. Life Saver then fills the pole by passing a T-5 break proof solid metal rod on the inside. There is no stronger pole and Life Saver backs it with a manufacturer’s 100 year warranty. It’s the number one reason we offer it and consider it the safest pool fence in the industry.

Textilene® Mesh. Nearly Indestructible.

A removable pool fence’s strength greatly depends on its mesh. In order to have the safest pool fence, you must have the strongest mesh. That’s why Life Saver Pool Fencing uses only the strongest, most transparent mesh available. It is a 12-12 mill. nylon mesh and at over 270 lbs per square inch, it has the highest tensile strength available. The polyvinyl coating basket weave is infused with premium UV inhibitors that keep your pool safety fence looking new for decades even in the harshest weather.

Snap Safety Latch

The latch is what holds the pool fence poles together between sections and must be difficult for children to remove. Due to bilateral tension between fence sections, it takes 2 hands to release the latch. The importance of high quality latches cannot be understated as they act as the stopping points preventing children from opening the fence.

There are a number of different latches used in the industry – be certain you’re getting the safest one! Unlike hook & eye latches and toggle-bolt latches used by some others, Life Saver’s nickel plated safety snap latches offer a molded latch with the stainless steel spring embedded inside. This ensures that it will not rust, corrode or deteriorate. Once latched, no downward or upward pressure can release it. It’s design has no sharp points or edges and ensures a secure lock every time.

Perma-lock Safety Latch

The perma-lock safety latch provides added security for parents seeking the safest pool fence possible. It requires tools to open and exceeds the requirements of most codes and laws, including the country’s newest revisions.

Border and Stitching

The border helps prevent sagging and provides the necessary tension for the pool fence. On either end, the border keeps the mesh form pulling off from the poles. The border needs to be resistant not only to the tension of the fence, but also to the elements. Life Saver pool fences uses embossed nylon border material that are made to prevent cracking or weathering as a result of harsh summers and winters. The border is held in place and attached to the mesh by stitching, and in some lower quality fences, glue. Life Saver’s goal of offering the safest pool fence possible, means that they use quadruple marine stitching – the same technique used for boat canvases and awnings.
